While playing with my ranger, I was actually denied healing after I refused to buy a crappy gold bow from one of the monks on our team.

This guy was amusing. He joined our Chest Run group (Mo/W 55hp runner). The group rushed a bit so he ended up dieing before he got off the starting blocks (his own fault for picking such a stupid class to run FoW with!).

After moaning constantly for a while, it got to the stage where he started calling me a noob. He even started saying i didn't know what a 55hp monk was... the name itself gives a bit away. My personal favourite here was when he starting asking 'are you 5 or 6?'. Then 5 seconds later started spamming 'nooooob' in team chat. I just turned off team chat and asked him a minute later if he was still going as i'd turned team chat off. Then he left. Checking team chat afterwards he'd started filling the bar with 'oooooooooo.... etc'.

Kitty, i do love a caller who just won't shut up... when i do Barrage teams i really do call every target, but i only do it once, its the ones who think you need to spam every target 5x that are truly annoying. Although so far i haven't met a caller who when told to stop spamming didn't go off on 1 (usually leaving later on).

Man I love 55s in the Fissure. One on our team died once, and everyone had rebirth, so we just dragged him around with us. It was fun. We took turns chain rebirthing him. We dragged him all the way to the spider cave before he left.

I have to say that up until today (i've been playing since release) i have never met anyone who i can't talk to and sort whatever the problem is out with. Now i just bought factions and am doing the second mission in the newbie area. Now, I realize that some people haven't played this game much (this is after all the beginning zone) so i go into the mission with a lot of tolerance.

We have 1 monk and me (a rt/mo). i only had two healing spells, since i was told to play more for damage. We start the mission and everything goes fine for a while. Then we get to the first set of bosses. Now these bosses are unessential so our group decides to bypass them. this ranger then decides that he wants a a 2% bonus and starts attacking the boss and all 5 of the minions surrounding him. At the same time we had just aggroed a pretty big mob and were strung out. We go back and try to help the ranger out like a nice team.

At this point the ranger runs to the back of the group passing the aggro directly onto me and the healer. The group then starts dying... first the monk, then me and the rest of the team besides him. He runs away and starts calling us F***ing noobs because we all suck since we died. He doesn't seem to realize that his armor is built stronger, and he just passed the aggro onto us. He then goes on to say he is the master at guild wars and is better than all of us at everything ("What skills are you using anyway f***ing noob monk?") Half the group leaves....

At this point I say "This is the reason monks don't like pugs"

His reply... "Whats a pug?"

K, a new jerk trio today and strangely, the jerkism seemed to spread through the group.. which made me wonder, was I really at fault? But then I look back across the dozens of screen shots I made, and I really see no need for this kind of abuse that only stems from the greed of a couple people.

Were doing Nahpui Quarter... the group is actually misbalanced and we have an error 7 right off the bat, 3 of the people in the group seem to know each other, and we have 2 monk henchies, with myself, as ritualist. We go through the last portal and get not even to the first boss before the unofficial group leader spies a chest. They clear the immediate area, and then proceed to use their keys on the chest, finding its a gold, the rest of the group goes for the chest. I didn't bring any keys, so I move aside and begin to set up spirits for the next group.

The leader then asks me if I can come back and open the chest for him...I said nothing and the only nuker in the group starts aggroing the second mob. The chest hungry group leader does not budge from the spot next to the chest, now saying he will continue with the mission once I come back and open the chest, get this.. "like I am TOLD to do" and then demands several more times I open the chest for him. I flat out refuse, stating, I am here for the mission, and it is not my job to open chests for anyone.

At this point I'm prepared to write off the group, as much as I hate leavers, but I quietly message the mesmer in the group, "sorry if I have to leave, but I won't put up with this crap out of people" He understands, etc and we decide to make a go of it. Not really paying attention at this point, I set about putting up my spirts mob after mob. The group leader, finally decided to give up his camping spot next to the chest and rejoin the rest of us in the mission. Of course, not without commentary.

"Zhinu you should come when you are told"

"Zhinu, you are an asshole"

"Zhinu, you sure know how to make friends"

"Zhinu doesn't need friends, Zhinu is a ritualist"

*chortle chortle*

Apparently seeing how this wasn't affecting me, they decided to make it more personal..

"Zhinu take big rock and smash head, what a stupid caveman name"

For the record, Zhinu is actually a chinese lore character. And is quite lovely, if I say so myself..

I reply with:

"It's chinese"

Which is immediately rebuked with:

"So, doesn't sound like it"
and:
"Go on, rage quit if you like"

"You're a stupid asshole anyhow"

I ignore this.. and instead said....

"Then perhaps you don't understand chinese culture, and I think you're being the ass, here"

The intelligent group, in all of their wisdom, decided they had not had enough, and must continue to cause each other to giggle..

"Zhinu, I am half chinese, you give them a bad name"

and:

"I invite you to leave"

This is all so very hilarious, that it is me, giving all of the chinese culture a bad name because I am ignoring their childish taunts.

This continues another ten minutes or so, the chatter steadily filtering down as the mesmer now quits the group.. I really can't blame him. It gets a bit rougher, but were doing pretty well until we get to all of the hexes, and the henchie monks can't keep up with those, so, I die.

Instead of rezzing me, the group continues on, with a smart ass comments like..

"Do the henchies not rez anymore?"

"Oh, did someone die, I didn't notice" meanwhile....

They all begin to die...Because they don't have the spirit, the group is now 3 people down and truth be told, they're not that good at this game..

NOW they come back to get me....

I leave the group with the message:

"Good luck to you guys, but enough of my time has been wasted already"

Later, about 10 seconds after I mapped out, I see the clever whammo in Nahpui 1.. I was already in a new group (we completed with masters) and he was saying

"GLF 4/8, people without keys have to use our keys to open chests for us!!"

I just LOL'd because honestly, doesnt that seem a bit pathetic?

If having people like that on your friends list, and in your pug group is like this, I would be perfectly content to go without any at all in this game.

I was doing some escort quest and I descided to take hench, we were doing alright we got to the end of the quest and that bitch Orek refused to walk into the Conservatory. He kept running back and forth over and over, AND OVER and would not go into the conservatory.....*punch Orek*

I unded up zoning us

Geez, anet suck at what they do. Some of the quests are bugged. gg anet.

So I was monking for a PUG tonight, at Sanctum Cay. Party comprised of:

W/Mo (nice person)
Mo/W (me)
N/Mo (MM, needed lots of healing, but probably not a nice person)
R/Mo
E/Me (Used a sword and shield and tried to kill things with the sword, occasionally using conjure phantasm, but at least he wasn't a jerk)
Mo/N (Jerk. Can't spell his name, either)

Okay, PVE is easy enough with a human monk that even if people use "unique" builds that get them killed, it doesn't really matter. I managed to get through the mission before (EDIT: i.e. the mission before Sanctum Cay), with bonus with a W/Me with Backfire, 2 other humans and Stefan who had 60% DP. It just took a little longer (2+ hours), but it was fun.

So anyway, Jerk was a bit slow to load, so in the meantime Warrior picks up Scepter of Orr, then decides that it probably wasn't such a great idea, so handed it over to me, and we go kill some stuff.

Jerk finally loads, and asks for the Scepter of Orr. My build happens to do fine with 4 pips of e-regen, so... why not. Initially it seemed like a good idea, the Jerk kept spamming Healing Breeze and Heal Party. Little did we know it would haunt us later....

So we go and take the bonus and kill stuff and finally get to the Vizier. Jerk runs off and uses the lever to close the door on us. He then proceeds to pick up all the unassigned drops. And then he asks to be paid. I offer him a rune of minor smiting prayers. He asks for money. I take screenshots, leave and report. When I got back to Sanctum Cay, it turned out that the remaining members of the party paid him, and then he just left them for dead.

The funny thing was that something similar happened to me in Borlis Pass as well, with the torch. The difference is that this guy actually asked for money... I wonder if this kind of behaviour is bannable?

I'd hate to say this but recently in the Senji-Takkenhai temple bits, I keep going in parties that "Leeroy" instead of retreating when 1 big mob with Orosen, Spiritual Acolyte there, and instead of doing the honorable and retreating slightly, they have to PULL another bunch and make all of us die in the process.

Then again, it's even worse having one or 2 under-20 members in party. ALL of the mobs are level 20, so if they get killed early, I don't think they'll get salvation for it.

A note to all pre-level 20s performing "To Takkenhai Temple": Don't. You're wasitng time, and should level up to EXACTLY 20 before performing this. Trust me.

Was just doing Hells Precipice for some Skills, it was really early, so I was lucky to get a team. One of the Eles asked if I had blood, but I didn't answer, cause I was only looking with one I, still surfing. We went in, everything went find, the ele was a bit bossy, but meh. At some point the MOnk (who had constant energieproblems and pinged all the time) asked it I had bloodritual, and I said no. Still a bit later the ele spammed his energie. As I didn't react he asked:
Ele: Why doesn't the necro give energie
me: I'm NOT your battery, remember that.
Ele: I haven't goten energy once, how should I do damage.
me: not my problem, I don't have BR
me: perhaps you should learn, how to manage with the energie you have
Ele: I asked you BEVOR the mission, if you had blood
me: I HAVE blood, I'm a blood necro. But I don't have the ritual
Ele: Wow, a pro, I give up
me: well, whos the pro, with 0 energiemanagement, who has to be babysit
Ele: Its your job to give the monks and eles energie
me: NO ITS NOT YOU PAPERNOSE

we die, because the monk has no energiemanagment either, and the warriors never wait for him to regenerate.

Ele: See, it's no use without an Necro who gives energy.

At that, I leave, I never meet such an ignorant Idiot.

I get annoyed too, especially with the M/W who insist it is my job to provide to them, BR..why should I take the slot I could use for another skill, when they can't even take the thought to switch to /me. I hate relying on others for energy, I learned how to manage. So should they, imho.

lol ok..ok i just ha to respnd to this......

if he wanted you to open the chest for you you should have just agreed took the key opened the chest and refused to give him the item....(go even further as to id it scrap it and dump the waste on the ground) lol only i would do this but you dont seem like the person to do it. and i fell that there is too much racism going on in GW. actually made 3 of my friends just stop playing....personally i like my guild for this reason becuase i can ask them for help and they come to help me so i dont have to deal with a lot of PUGS.

If i was at Anet it'd probably pass for been a twat. But if it happens more than once? Perma ban i'd say...

Besides, anyone dumb enough to try and make people pay him to do that when you could pay a runner to do the entire mission for you in half the time. deserves to be banned.

As for the Torch, i'd just go do something else. You've cleared out the entire mission already, there is nowhere he can hide it. Worst thing that happened to me on that was finishing the mission with henchman then getting stuck on the 2nd Beacon at the very end when hench blocked me in

those people annoy me too, i play ele and monk and i always make sure i watch my energy, only time i've hit 0 on my ele is when my enchants get stripped. the other day i was playing nuker in a uw party with 3 monks and as soon as we got in:

monk1: does the necro have BR? i really need BR
monk2: *pings energy non-stop* BR

and they continued like that for awhile till they realised that the necro had spent the entire time while in ToA and UW saying he didn't have BR. frankly i didn't understand why they had energy problems at all considering there were 3 monks (1 was a bonder) covering 2 warriors who actually did a good job.

So, three times last night I went into try the Arborstone mission, and all three times there was a W/Mo (not saying they're all a$$holes, I have my own W/Mo) who started spamming (in mission) to buy his 'unique, rare gold dye'.

Three different times, three different W/Mo's, same bat chan-I mean gold dye.

Dumb.

Ha, I love when this happens! Actually I hate it, but I love the controversy of it. "Its a Necro's job to provide energy!" ? Well, no its not. Unless that was the agreement made before the mission or quest, nobody should expect any one else to take a certain set of skills because that is "what their profession is supposed to do".

I play a necro but I never play as MM and usually never serve as battery. I enjoy far too much going as blood damage (+ well of blood) or as a curse necro. I never say to a party that I am not an MM or SS or battery or whatever, unless that is what they specifically ask for.

I also play a ranger, and now and again I play as Beastmaster, but I never take along a weak pet to serve as fodder for a Necro in a B/P group. My pet is strong and hardly ever dies.

I also have a monk character, which I enjoy playing, but I hate having to just stare at my allies' health bars. Instead I like to smite by applying Balthazars aura (yes, it does spread the enemy but first after doing a LOT of damage) and Shield of Judgement to one or two warriors or assassins in the group. I even have been so bold as to join some PUG groups like this, where I also take along 4 healing skills, and here again is the same problem: Monks are supposed to heal or protect, not smite.

That Ele is a poor player because he/she couldn't handle a situation where extra blood energy was available. But also at fault here is the Warrior or others in the group who would not wait for the Ele to recharge. This happens all too often and is why I hate playing Ele in a Pug group. When I find myself in this situation, where the rushers in the group ignore my energy pinging, I just start sitting out every other battle (at least as far as spell casting is concerned) so I can get my energy up again.
